Linking global money supply to gold and to future inflation

This study discusses how money supply can have an effect on the price of gold. As the money supply increases, the gold price rises; this effect has a lag of about 6 months. Moreover, we find that changes in the US money supply do not solely explain the changes in the price of gold.
