The World Gold Council sponsored the 2013 Milken Institute Annual Global Conference, an important venue for thought leaders to address an informed and influential audience of CEOs, senior government officials, and leaders in finance, academia, education, health care and philanthropy.

World Gold Council CEO Aram Shishmanian and Leadership Team presented the relevance of gold against a backdrop of the ongoing global financial crisis. Mr Shishmanian address the Milken Institute Global Capital Markets Advisory Committee, and also spoke on a panel on Quantitative Easing alongside other CEOS and influential thought leaders.

A World Gold Council dinner event brought together 20 influential business, academic and government leaders including Paul Wolfowitz, former Head of the World Bank, and Curtis Chan, former US Ambassador to the Asian Development Bank, to discuss how responsible gold mining can deliver economic benefits for developing countries.
