Golden Share Mining has issued an update on its mining activities at the Forsan property in Quebec.

The planned drilling programme at the site got underway this week and so far an 800 m strike length has been certified by the firm, with both directions remaining open for further exploration.

Forsan is situated at the edge of the Cadillac break and major finds to date have included an intersection of 56.86 grams per tonne of gold over 4 m at a depth of 42 to 46 m.

In addition, surface mineralisation is to be explored at the eastern section of the project, with the verifying process being carried out at a range of depths.

Elsewhere, Batero Gold recently announced the acquisition of the outstanding shares of Bahia Bonita Properties.

The company plans to now invest in the projects managed by the firm in order to secure a swift turnaround of profitability for investors.
