Wednesday, 4th November 2009 (393 views) An exhibition of gold jewellery opening in the Philippines today (November 4th) could help to boost the business of local manufacturers, it has been suggested.The Bulawan: The Gold of Camarines Norte display at the Ayala Museum in Makati City will run until November 12th and will showcase an array of 18-c gold jewellery crafted by 24 producers based in the Camarines Norte region. According to the trade and industry department of the Philippines, the event will help to position these jewellery makers' creations in the high-end fashion sector, as well as prepare manufacturers for international trade fairs, BusinessWorld reports. All of the jewellery in the exhibition was designed by Dr Joaquin Gasgonia Palencia, who was inspired by motifs in nature when putting together each piece's look and style. Eight different collections of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and bangles make up the items that will be put on display at the event.
