A total of $20 (£12.26) for every gold charm sold at a breast cancer awareness event will benefit a Florida Susan G Komen for the Cure affiliate.

The Naples News reported that pink tea and cakes will be served all day on Saturday (October 17th) at Pandora at the Mercato in Naples, Florida.

Customers who purchase a gold breast cancer charm with pink sapphires from the retailer will see $20 per charm donated to the non-profit group.

The store has also pledged to donate a total of $2,500 to the cancer research charity.

Pandora charm bracelets were first launched by the Copenhagen-based company in Denmark in 1999. They are currently sold in 18 countries worldwide.

Gold Pandora bracelet charms come in a range of designs, including heart shapes, stars, chains, flowers, prams, crowns and angels.

Other Pandora jewellery products crafted from gold include chains, pendants, earrings, anklets, toe rings and brooches.
