Tuesday, 12th May 2009 (805 views) Explor Resources' winter drill programme at the Eastford Lake gold property has been successfully completed, the firm has reported.Three NQ-sized core holes have been drilled on the project to analyse its geological model and "determine the structural controls of the Lynx gold zone mineralisation". Totalling 2,009m, the holes have revealed that the host zone contains visible gold and "appears to continue to occupy the same environment north-west and south-east of its known location, with a nearly flat plunge". Explor Resources is planning a further diamond drill programme, which will commence on May 16th 2009 and will target expected strike extensions to the Lynx gold zone. Located south-west of Lake Abitibi, Ontario, the Eastford Lake property lies 90km east of the Timmins-Porcupine gold mining camp and covers a total of 3,100 hectares. Canadian-based Explor Resources has projects in Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and New Brunswick and is focused on the development of its properties in the Abitibi greenstone belt.
