Hunt Gold has announced the assay results of its first drilling programme at the Mockingbird gold project in Arizona.

The firm reported that the initial reports prove gold mineralisation in each of the core samples from its first five drill holes.

Michael Saner, Hunt Gold's chief executive, said: "The potential gold ore is in the zones predicted by the company's geologists, which means that we are gaining an understanding of the gold mineralisation."

Conducted by Jacobs Assay of Tucson, Arizona, the assay work has been welcomed by Hunt Gold's management as "solid and positive".

The company now expects that higher grades will result from a new extensive drilling and exploration campaign, which is expected to commence without delay.

Hunt Gold recently announced that it had appointed of MDM Worldwide Solutions as its new investor relations firm and stated that the deal would help to provide a "bridge" between management and stockholders.
