Monday, 17th November 2008 (1043 views) A British jeweller has created a unique tiny gold ring for a newborn baby.Goldfactors Family Jewellers in Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, did not have a bracelet small enough to fit the wrist of baby Alysia days after her birth. The baby's parents Fiona and Charles Sharp had been searching for a special piece of jewellery to mark their daughter's birth, the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette reports. Ingenious jeweller Alan Goodchild removed a tiny gold and diamond ring from a charm bracelet and found that it perfectly fitted Alysia's finger. He has now promised to make a small bracelet for Alysia in time for Christmas and has given the Sharps the gold ring for free. "It fits perfectly on the middle finger of her hand," Mr Sharp said. "When she has got it on she holds her hand up to show it off." It is customary in India for parents and in-laws to present gifts of gold to a family on the birth of a baby.
