Colorado Goldfields reveals new gold discovery breakthroughThursday, 13th November 2008 (338 views) Colorado Goldfields has announced that it has made a major new gold discovery breakthrough using state-of-the-art testing at its Gold King Mine.According to the company, the use of Niton XRF analysis to examine select interval core samples from its Gold King property has enhanced its gold exploration results. Taking place in Silverton, Colorado, unrehearsed raw video taken during the testing is available on the Colorado Goldfields website. The results from the Niton XRF analysis confirm that mineralisation from Gold King B Vein contains gold grades ranging from 0.28 to 3.39 ounces per tonne. John Ferguson, Colorado Goldfields director of operations, explained: "What this means in plain English is that what we believed about the presence of gold has now been confirmed by unbiased technology." The Thermo Scientific Niton XL3t handheld analyser was used for the testing and has been demonstrated by field geologists and technical personnel around the world to be statistically reliable. Based in Denver, Colorado Goldfields is a junior exploration and mining company that targets historic gold camps with "strong potential for multiple deposit discoveries".
