Picasso's daughter launches Tiffany jewellery rangeFriday, 31st October 2008 (783 views) The daughter of Pablo Picasso has launched a new jewellery collection for Tiffany & Co.Paloma Picasso based the designs for her Zellige collection on century-old mosaic techniques. She said that she has "no objection" to taking inspiration from old images or catalogues as jewellery should still "look good 300 years down the line". "Jewellery is about timelessness. A piece of jewellery is here to stay much longer than a dress or gown," she remarked. With regards to her personal style, Ms Picasso revealed that she would never leave home without her set of hammered gold ball earrings and another pair in white gold. Meanwhile the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland, will have numerous gold pieces on display in its Bedazzled: 5,000 Years of Jewellery exhibition, which will run until January of next year. It includes a historic Greek gold bracelet from the first century BC.
