Temex Resources has provided an update on its exploration programmes.

It is currently "active" on a number of projects including the Ring of Fire, Latchford and Timmins gold prospects.

Work is underway at the Whitney Township project - situated in the Timmins gold camp in Ontario - while drilling is expected to resume soon at the Ring of Fire site.

In addition, a crew is on site at the Latchford project, gearing up for a drilling campaign that is to be conducted over the coming months.

President and chief executive officer Ian Campbell said: "Temex is funded to carry out our exploration programmes and we continue to have significant contributions from partners on several of our properties."

Meanwhile, Timmins Gold has appointed Hallein Darby as its senior vice president of finance.

She was previously a director of client services at Pacific Opportunity Capital, which provides advice to a number of mining companies.
