Kalimantan Gold has revealed that it is producing "successful drill results" from its Jelai gold project in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Assay grades have been received from four new holes from the most recent round of drilling, with one hole returning 15.84 g/t Au across six metres, including a section of 62.27 g/t Au across 0.75 metres.

Other holes provided 4.45 g/t Au across 2.45 metres, 1.64 g/t across 4.25 metres and 1.24 g/t Au across 1.5 metres.

Chief executive officer Rahman Connelly remarked: "This aggressive step-out and infill drilling confirms the strength and continuity of gold mineralization along trend ... the latest drill results have returned some exceptionally high grades."

Further assay figures are pending and the firm is planning to create several more drill holes.

Meanwhile, East Asia Minerals announced earlier this month that a 3,000 metre drilling programme is underway at the Barisan II project in Aceh, Indonesia.
