NQ Carheil gold project has "excellent potential"Friday, 26th September 2008 (373 views) NQ Exploration has stated that its Carheil project has "excellent potential" for gold discovery.The site, located in Brouillan township, was the subject of a recent electromagnetic survey. It was carried out by Abitibi Geophysique and identified four conductor zones in the region. "Mineralized zones intersected by earlier drilling occur at a shallow depth and the survey has now confirmed that these remain open along strike," commented NQ's president David Grondin. He added that the next course of action will be to test targets specified by the study with an exploratory drilling programme. The property is located near to Rio Algom's Les Mines Selbaie project which has a production level of 44 million tonnes grading an average 0.47 g/t Au. Rio Algom recently submitted proposals to state environment officials to test water quality at its operation near Ambrosia Lake, according to Las Cruces Sun News.
