Wednesday, 24th September 2008 (1143 views) Adventure Gold has announced "successful" results from drilling on its Lapaska gold exploration project in Quebec. It stated that four holes drilled earlier this year have intersected "significant gold values" at the Lapaska Central (LC) zone. One hole provided figures of 9.7 g/t Au over 2.2 metres, contained within a larger area of one g/t Au over 48.3 metres. Another returned 13.2 g/t Au over 1.5 metres, from a bigger section of one g/t Au over 50.2 metres. Other significant results included 12.1 g/t Au over 0.5 metres, 5.9 g/t Au over 1.1 metres and 9.3 g/t over 0.7 metres. "These are notable gold intersections at Lapaska. This confirms the high-quality gold grades and thicknesses historically reported in the LC zone," remarked president Marco Gagnon. Meanwhile, Canadian-based exploration firm Pershimco Resources reported that around a third of its shareholders attended its annual meeting earlier this week.
