Assay results released for Hycroft mineThursday, 21st August 2008 (462 views) Allied Nevada has announced it has completed gold assay results for 33 exploration holes at its Hycroft Heap Leach mine in Winnemucca.One hole intersected 1,103.5 feet of gold, including a result of 0.022 oz/ton of gold across 368.5 feet. The drilling at this site was included as part of a programme to expand the gold resource in the Brimstone and Silver Camel areas of the project. At the Brimstone site, three drills are still in operation. Other results from the area include 0.014 oz/ton of gold across 474 feet, 0.016 oz/ton of gold across 25 feet, 0.024 oz/ton of gold across 14.5 feet and 0.029 oz/ton of gold across 413 feet. Rick Russell, Allied Nevada's vice-president of exploration, said: "The strike length of the Brimstone area as now defined is over a mile long and recent drill holes indicate that gold ... mineralisation continues to the north and south." Along with the Hycroft mine, Allied Nevada has over 100 more exploration projects in Nevada.
