Drilling starts at Pickle GrowFriday, 15th August 2008 (390 views) PC Gold has announced it has started to drill at the historic Pickle Grow gold mine property in Ontario. This will be the first of three drills to commence at the Canadian mine which will drill to 300 metres. Over the next few weeks, a second drill capable of drilling to a depth of 1,200 metres will be introduced and then a third to 2,200 metres. In total, PC Gold said it hopes to drill up to 45,000 metres. The company said one of the drilling objectives at Pickle Grow will be to "test for lateral and depth extensions of the high grade veins - 31-year life of mine average grade of 16.14 g/t - that were the primary source of historic production". In June this year, PC Gold said it had increased the size of the Pickle Grow property more than two-and-a-half times by staking an addition 2,579 hectares of land in the area.
