Resource increases 70% at KalgoorlieFriday, 15th August 2008 (450 views) Bellamel Mining has announced that, following drilling at the Ben Hur deposit, its resource at the Kalgoorlie West gold project has increased by 70 per cent.This means the resources is now nearly 2.8 million ounces of gold. Ben Hur has three deposits at the southern end of the project and covers roughly 2.5 kilometres. Due to the recent drilling, the resource estimate for the site has been updated to 32 million tonnes at a grading of 1.19 g/t of gold for 1.2 million ounces of contained gold. Within this is a measured estimate of 4,261,800 tonnes at a grading of 1.21 g/t for 165,180 ounces, 3,291,600 tonnes at a grading of 1.24 g/t of gold for 131,240 ounces and 24,555,600 at a grading of 1.17 g/t of gold for 923,800 ounces. The whole Kalgoorlie west project now has a total resource of 74 million tonnes at 1.17 g/t of gold for 2.8 million ounces of contained gold. Kalgoorlie consists of 77 square kilometres.
