Northern Gold announces high grade assays at Kirana

Friday, 15th August 2008 (294 views)

Northern Gold Mining has announced additional high grade gold assays from its ongoing programme of stripping, mapping and sampling.

This follows on from high grade gold discoveries in the Fidelity area of its Kirana property last month.

Some 44 chip and channel samples have been analysed and have been confirmed to have a quality of up to 552.96 grams per ton Au.

Northern Gold is also discontinuing further work on its Sylvanite Tailings project after samples shows that it is sub-atomic.

Based in Toronto, Northern Gold is dedicated to gold exploration in Kirkland Lake and Timmins in northern Ontario.

This week, it announced the completion of its VTEM airborne geophysical airborne survey at Kirana, the company's most recent ground acquisition.

Preliminary analysis of the VTEM survey found ten conductive anomalies, the company revealed.

The most recently-announced gold bearing zone is situated in Ontario's Teck Township, about five kilometres north-east of the Kirkland Lake gold mining territory.
