An online jewellery retailer is to become an official Benchmark Authorised Dealer.

Apples of Gold Jewelry announced it has been courted by the wedding ring company, Benchmark Rings, and launched its wedding ring range this summer.

President and chief executive officer of Apples of Gold Jewelry Afshin Yaghtin said: "We think of ourselves primarily as high-end value-based jewellers, with every responsibility to ours customers and our trade as any reputable, established jewellery company."

The company said there can sometimes be a stigma attached to being an online jewellery retailer but that it has proven itself by adding Benchmark Rings to its list of recognised major brands.

Other recognised brands sold by the e-tail site include the Von Dutch Watch name, GianTTo and Polanti watches.

Benchmark wedding rings include a 14-karat braided yellow gold band, a 14-karat satin yellow gold wedding band and an 18-karat white gold satin wedding band.

Apples of Gold Jewelry also sell 14-karat yellow gold bracelets, chains and crosses.
