Drilling starts at Howell Creek

Wednesday, 23rd July 2008 (524 views)

Max Resource has announced it has started to drill at the Howell gold project in British Columbia.

Early drill reports at Howell Creek found 1.23 g/t across 58 metres, 0.65 g/t of gold across 82 metres and 0.95 g/t of gold across 39 metres.

In 2006, a drill hole intersected a grading of 0.42 g/t of gold from 43 metres to 66 metres of limestone.

The last result from this hole reported a grade of 0.44 g/t of gold. Due to this, Max Resource said deeper drilling was required to test further.

A minimum of 1,000 metres of drilling is planned for the Howell gold project.

The Carbonate Replacement deposit will also be tested near a hole drilled in 1988.

Results from that hole showed 0.32 g/t of gold across 7.6 metres.

Max Resource is based in Canada and has gold properties in Nevada as well as British Columbia.

Last month the company announced it has started drilling at the Gold Hill property in Alaska.
