Soil sampling completed by Chapleau Resources

Friday, 27th June 2008 (479 views)

Chapleau Resources has finished eight kilometres of soil sampling at the Lagresia gold mineralised zone.

Samples from the area in the Mato Velho gold project have shown grading of up to 77.94 g/t of gold.

Four drill holes were completed along the north-west area of Lagresia by March 2007.

Results from these holes include 6.72 g/t of gold across ten metres, 1.95 g/t of gold across one metre and 6.17 g/t of gold across three metres.

Chapleau Resources is based primarily in Brazil and Peru.

Projects in Brazil are located around the Tapajos-Alta Floresta gold district which covers around 80,000 hectares. The district includes the Coringa and Mato Vehlo projects where 3,754 metres of drilling has so far been completed.

Earlier this month Kinross Gold Corporation committed to a $2.5 million investment deal in Chapleau Resources. This involves a non-brokered private placement of five million units at 50 cents each.
