Drilling results for EMED MiningThursday, 12th June 2008 (385 views) EMED Mining has announced more drilling results from its project in central Slovakia. The Slatinske Lazy Prospect has five drill holes which are approximately 250 metres long each. They are reported to be "strongly anomalous in gold", according to Mineweb. Two holes in the north of the site have reported the best intercepts. One showed results of 55 metres at 1.21 g/t over 99 metres, and the other showed 121 metres at 0.53 g/t over 33 metres. Harry Anagnostaras-Adams, managing director of EMED Mining, said: "Exploration of this previously unrecognised porphyry gold district is at a very exciting stage as we identify further prospects for drilling by undertaking geological mapping and geochemical surveys." He added that EMED Mining was planning for three more prospects in 2008 in the Detva Licence, the Hodrusa Licence and in the Velke Pole Licence. Around 15,000 metres of diamond drilling is expected for this year. The areas under exploration in Slovakia is a group of volcanic centres, with low grade, bulk-mineable porphyry gold being the targeted mineralisation style.
