An upcoming event in London offers gold fans the opportunity to witness the creation of gold bars by a jeweller.

Cockpit Arts Open Studios takes place on Saturday June 14th and Sunday June 15th and includes a gold bar creation display by jewellery Angie Boothroyd, reports Fibre2Fashion.

More than 100 studios are displaying work at the event, ranging from established jewellers to smaller-scale artists and craftspeople.

Attendees will get the chance to witness earrings, necklaces, bracelets and other jewellery items being designed and made.

Purchases can also be made at the event, which gives buyers the opportunity to take face-to-face with designers.

"If you love contemporary jewellery and want to indulge in a unique shopping experience, come to Cockpit Arts Open Studios," the report advised.

Meanwhile, the first ever London Jewellery Week begins in the capital on June 11th, showcasing work by more than 600 designers, according to the Telegraph.
