"We're very pleased with the recovery of the items but obviously there are still persons responsible that we're hoping to pursue charges against," RCMP constable Annie Linteau told the paper. In total, some 15 artworks were stolen in the night of May 23rd or morning of May 24th. Bill Reid, the Haida artist, created 12 of the stolen works, with 11 of them being made entirely from gold. A spokesperson for the UBC museum - from which the works were stolen - told the paper that there was a "huge sense of relief" following the find.
