High-grade results, new gold zone for Pediment in MexicoThursday, 21st February 2008 (1795 views) Pediment Exploration's ongoing drill programme at the San Antonio gold project in Mexico has expanded one of the site's zones, while discovering another, the company has said.Drilling at the Los Planes gold zone has expanded its definition with good gold grades to the north, south and west, Pediment reported. Results from the west-central drilling include 54.6 metres grading 2.88 g/t gold. This included a 10.67-metre stretch of 11.79 g/t gold. Other results from holes in the north and south include 9.2 metres of 2.54 g/t gold and 27.4 metres of 1.23 g/t gold. These intersects occur near holes where previous drilling had uncovered gold results. In addition to the expansion of Los Planes, Pediment's exploration also discovered a new gold zone on site, the Fandango. The zone, which is located 1,500 metres west of Los Planes, contains alteration and mineralisation similar to the region's other gold deposits, the company said. Assay results are pending. The San Antonio gold project covers 40,200 hectares on the the Baja peninsula in western Mexico. It is located approximately 40 kilometres south-east of the port city La Paz.
