The Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group (DGJG) has made public its support for the Dubai Shopping Festival 2008 through a new industry partnership.

Polygon, the global e-marketplace for the jewellery industry, is to join DGJG in its provision of sourcing support to retailers participating in the festival.

All retailers affiliated with DGJG are to gain access to Polygon's marketplace to source gold jewellery as well as other pieces.

The e-marketplace claims its inventory offers the largest collection of jewels and precious metal items available to enterprises.

"It's going to be a great festival and we're looking forward to being a part of it and to helping DGJG retailers better cater to their customers," comments Swapna Nair, general manager of the group.

The Dubai Shopping Festival takes place in the urban centre also known as the 'city of gold' between January 24th and February 24th.

This year, the event's guiding principles are shopping, winning and family entertainment.
