Grandview Gold begins Dixie Lake drilling

Thursday, 24th January 2008 (1073 views)

Grandview Gold has announced the commencement of drilling on its Ontario-based Dixie Lake gold property.

Located in the province's Red Lake Mining District, the property is being subjected to a follow-up drilling programme after high-grade gold intercepts were uncovered in the new NS Zone.

The NS Zone is to be the focus of geologist attention for this new drill programme, as mineralisation is tested in and around the thick alteration zone that was the site of the discovery of three quartz veins containing gold.

"On surface it appears that things are going very well for us at Dixie and we will certainly gain important information that will help us target more accurately when we return to Dixie again later in the season," said president and chief executive officer Paul Sarjeant.

Grandview Gold states that it is committed to expanding its business while maintaining a high level of sensitivity to the environment and communities local to its operations.
