Drilling underway in British ColumbiaFriday, 30th November 2007 (1739 views) A drilling programme on the Yankee-Dundee gold property is now underway to test a series of early-stage targets identified on the site, according to Dundee Mines. Some 1,200 metres are expected to be drilled in eight to ten holes during the operation, which is based on targets established during spring and summer work on the property this year on the main Yankee-Girl vein's eastern extension. In addition to the drilling operation, contracts have been signed permitting a 600 line-kilometre airborne survey to be conducted over the southern two-thirds of the property area. Designed to evaluate the geophysical elements of precious metal-containing structures, the survey is expected to be carried out on the site next month. The Yankee-Dundee project covers a land area of 4,562 hectares of land in the southern part of the Canadian province of British Columbia, where gold mineralisation has been reported since the late 19th century. Based in Vancouver, Dundee Mines is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
