Mineralisation extended at Jumping Josephine

Thursday, 29th November 2007 (1877 views)

Results from 14 additional diamond drill holes carried out on the JJ Main gold zone on south-east British Columbia's Jumping Josephine gold project have shown the extent of significant gold mineralisation, according to Astral Mining and Kootenay Gold.

A Phase Two drilling operation has now been completed at the site, totalling 5,100.84 metres over 38 drill holes. Results from samples taken from the final 18 holes are still pending from the laboratory.

Astral Mining intends to begin planning the first stages of a Phase Three drilling programme on the site, expected to begin in 2008, based on interpretations of the complete Phase Two operation results.

Currently, the company is working to earn a 60 per cent interest in the Jumping Josephine mining project from Kootenay Gold.

In addition to its joint ownership of the Canada-based mining project, Astral Mining also controls seven gold properties in the US state of Nevada, many of which are located along historically profitable gold trends.
