New gold zone discovered and named

Wednesday, 27th June 2007 (1956 views)

A "significant new gold zone" has been discovered in San Antonio in Baja California Sur, Mexico by Pediment Exploration.

As a result of the findings, the firm has announced it will carry out a 10,000-metre reverse circulation drill programme at the beginning of July.

Commenting on the discovery, Mel Herdrick said that the Los Planes resource has revealed higher quality results when compared to traditional drill sites at Las Colinas.

"I'm particularly excited to see what happens in this trend as our drill testing approaches the major structural junction to the north," he said.

Mr Herdrick also added that the new Los Planes site "is only the first of several new targets at San Antonio that we hope will indicate San Antonio contains significant potential for low cost gold extraction".

Pediment Exploration is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada and operates nine mining projects in north-west Mexico.
