'Encouraging' results from RinehartThe news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited © and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council. Thursday, 24th May 2007 (3169 views) The partnership of Gold Summit and Astral Mining has received assay results for their Rinehart prospect in South Carolina and have thus been "encouraged" by what they have encountered.A total of six drill holes were what the campaign consisted of with this being the amended amount when initially only four were due to be drilled. Gold Summit and its joint venture partner Astral Mining managed to intersect massive quartz core gold samples between 0.18 metres and 0.6 metres with a grade of between 1.5 grams per tonne and 58.2 grams per tonne. Drilling work has indicated that there are presently "two north-west striking, sub parallel zones of quartz veining and hydrothermal alteration up to 25 metres in drilled width dipping south west at 45 degrees over a strike length of 150 metres," says Gold Summit. Results from the two companies' geological work will be forthcoming as they look to focus their attentions on the "mineralised quartz veins and altered volcanic zones" at the Rinehart prospect.
