Thursday, 26th April 2007 (2909 views) Acero-Martin Exploration has announced results from five more drill holes at its project in the south of Peru.The Gold Oxide Skam Zone is located in the Pinaya project and this is where work has mainly been going on. The five holes successfully intersected both gold and copper mineralisation with some exceptional grades. Highlights from the five holes' results include one stretch of 29.04 metres at a grade of 3.07 grams of gold per tonne plus another length of 60.2 metres at a grade of 3.16 grams of gold per tonne. Donald Gee, the president of Acero-Martin Exploration, said: "The latest drill results continue to confirm the ability of the Gold Oxide Skam Zone to host a high grade, near surface, heap leach mining operation. "We are on a fast track to develop the gold zone for initial production." He added that the initial metallurgical test results are eminent and will form the basis for the company's preliminary economic assessment report which is scheduled to begin this quarter and will lead to pre-feasibility studies.
