Monday, 26th February 2007 (3163 views) Kalimantan Gold has spoken of its pleasure with the proposed link up with fellow mining company Oxiana over new copper gold deposits in Indonesia. After entering into a deed option with Kalimantan, Oxiana has stated that the Kalimantan Gold copper gold project contains "significant" mineralisation and as a result, work is planned to begin shortly. Results received by Kalimantan Gold have shown that the Beruang prospect area has the possibility of hosting a porphyry vein in areas that have not been subject to drilling work to date. Kalimantan Gold CEO Rahman Connelly said: "We are very pleased indeed to get this early report from Oxiana who now have a full-time presence on the ground and are setting themselves up for an intensive period of research and drill testing on the project." He went on to say that 2007 will see his company focus its attentions on three specific areas during exploration work; Beruang, Baroi and Mansur. A work programme has been outlined and will target the completion of a comprehensive review of these three areas as well as analysing data in a three dimensional format.
