Valdez employs Dundee for exploration programme

Thursday, 24th August 2006 (2335 views)

Valdez Gold has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Dundee Resources whereby Dundee will manage an exploration programme at its site in Mexico.

The Los Jarros project is situated in the state of Chihuahua, north-western Mexico. The Dundee group is a major shareholder in Valdez Gold, and Valdez acts as a vehicle for Dundee's initiatives through its funding.

The designated project controller in terms of technical expertise and quality control will be Colin Jones. In addition to 25 years of mining and exploration experience, Mr. Jones was last employed as a mining consultant. His duties in that role involved project management, due diligence work and technical audits on behalf of project financiers.

Valdez Gold president Mark Goodman commented: "We are very excited that Dundee Resources will be working with the Company in developing the potential of its Los Jarros properties in Mexico.

"Dundee Resources' wealth of technical knowledge and experience with resource exploration worldwide will be a great asset to the Company and its ability in moving the Los Jarros projects forward."
