Patricia Mining mill to start next week

Wednesday, 23rd August 2006 (2560 views)

Patricia Mining has announced that its gold mill in Canada is due to start operating again next week.

The mill, based at the Island Gold project near Wawa in Ontario, had been undergoing refurbishment. The mine is capable of producing 650 tonnes of gold per day when fully operational.

Patricia Mining had expected the mine to re-open in late July, but that date was put back after deliveries from third-party suppliers were delayed. These components were critical to the refurbishment process, but are now on site and are being fitted to the new-look mill.

Mining teams have also made their way to the property and are now ready for to start work. Patricia Mining reports that its entire organisation is very close to making the company Canada's newest gold producer.
