Mr Cormier notes that his company, which began life in 1978, is set apart from others. "We try to be different than everybody else," he said. "We try to have unique lines, designer lines too, things that basically other people will not have. Being a specialist retailer, you have to provide the best customer service, the highest integrity every day." Mr Cormier also points to the commemorative aspect of jewellery as a reason why people value it so highly. "Lots of times what they buy is a commemoration," he said. "It's an event in their life such s getting engaged. Also anniversaries, it's all things that people buy jewellery to celebrate, or an heirloom for families."
