A new range of bridal jewellery has been launched by UAE-based Damas at its store in Bangalore.

The Legacy collection comprises an exotic range of diamond and 22-carat gold designs, Metrolife reports, including necklaces, earrings, bracelets and maang teekas.

Shaheeda Abdul Kader, managing director of Damas Jewellery Bangalore, said: "We are glad to offer this collection to Indian women and give them the opportunity of a global shopping experience in Bangalore.

"Damas stands for luxury, not in terms of pricing, but in terms of the experience."

The collection was launched at an event at the Damas showroom on Commissariat Road, where it remains on display.

And the company is looking to expand its presence in Bangalore, as Ms Kader explained. "We are looking forward to opening more satellite showrooms in other areas of the City in the next three years," she said.

Damas Jewellery was founded almost 100 years ago, in 1907. In 2000 the company was the recipient of the prestigious De Beers Award for jewellery design.
