Romarco unveils 2006 drilling plans

Thursday, 23rd February 2006 (2864 views)

Exploration outfit Romarco Minerals is to expand drilling on four different gold projects during the 2006 season.

Drill programs will be conducted on the Pine Grove Gold, Roberts Mountains Gold and Buckskin-National Gold projects in Nevada, as well as on the Cori Puncho Gold project in Peru.

The Pine Grove project will see Phase I drilling in two target areas, including one where vein targets emerge above ground and have never undergone drill testing.

Work at the Roberts Mountains project will build on a first stage exploration programme. A mapping and soil sampling programme determined drill targets here.

Last year Romarco discovered a significant gold mineralisation zone at the Buckskin-National project that consists of 0.042 ounces per ton over 16.8 metres in depth. Multiple vein systems were discovered that require deeper drill testing.

The Peruvian Cori Puncho project will undergo drilling to 1,000 metres in order to test a gold-bearing structural zone that has not been drill tested before. This site has previously witnessed surface mining.

Romarco has no debt at present and says it has funds to support its proposed 2006 drillling programmes.
