Jewellery sparkles at Perfect Wedding ShowTuesday, 21st February 2006 (3798 views) Gold jewellery pieces are among the items on display at the inaugural Perfect Wedding Show, which opened today.The four-day event, held in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, bills itself as a "one-stop platform" for sourcing goods and services for weddings, AME Info reports. Designed to cater for all the needs of soon-to-be married couples, the show touts everything from bridal wear and beauty items to wedding stationary, entertainment, and car and limousine services. Some of the finest wedding jewellery is also on show, including items crafted in other countries in the region such as Lebanon. The Asian Wedding Pavilion, which displays goods and services geared towards the Asian expatriate community, is expected to be one of the event's major attractions. It will include exhibitions from firms offering gold jewellery and precious stones, including sapphires from Sri Lanka. The free show is open between 10 am and 10 pm but men aren't permitted to enter before 4 pm. The wedding market in the Middle East is thought to be worth between $2 billion and $3 billion.
