Gold grills give smiles all over

Friday, 9th December 2005 (7545 views)

Gold grills are proving so lucrative that jeweller Paul Faucette has turned them into his entire business.

The Hillsborough County jeweller has been speaking to the St Petersburg Times about his booming cosmetic dental business.

Gold teeth are all the rage and a whole range of people choose to wear gold grills, covering an entire row of teeth like a retainer, rather than opt for a single gold tooth.

One of Mr Faucette's customers, Micki Gonzalez commented: "I've already got a lot of gold…why not get gold teeth?"

Mr Faucette says that he is creating ever more elaborate grills for consumers. Some of them carry 'ice', precious stones, and some customers even ask for grills embellished with their name.

He currently makes approximately 15 pairs a week and some of his contented customers refer to him as their own Paul Wall - gold grill maker to the stars.
