Cluff Gold has announced that it has finished its primary mining project in Sierra Leone.

The mining firm said that the endeavour at the Baomahun gold prospect dug 27 inclined holes, totalling 4,600 metres in depth.

The project focused on three zones, which had been explored and mined before, with the hopes that they would confirm the results of previous ventures and reveal if there were more possibilities of mineralisation.

Cluff Gold has already invested more than $1 million in the project, and will soon announce if it will continue to mine the area.

The announcement is expected after consulting firm SRK Consultants publish the resource update relating to Baomahun.
