Print your photos on gold

A new photo printer can make personalised photos on a number of acrylic and metal materials, including gold.

Roland DG's METZA MPX-70 is an even more advanced version than its predecessor, the MPX-60, with its improved resolution and speed.

Its maximum resolution is 529dpi, which gives the device the resolution to make incredibly precise gradations, even if it is on gold, brass, or aluminium.

Company product manager Toshi Yahiro, told ferret.com: "The MPX-70 is our fastest, most precise METAZA to date. Since its introduction, the METAZA has helped entrepreneurs launch profitable METAZA businesses with a low initial investment and often with no previous industry experience."

Despite all its capabilities, the MPX-70 is a small contraption that can easily be installed as a desktop printer.
