Students offered gold commemorative ringsTuesday, 27th September 2005 (4345 views) Students from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) are being offered the chance to purchase a gold ring to remind them of their university days.UTSA Today, the university's magazine, reminds students that this week is the last opportunity to secure rings ahead of December's Ring Presentation ceremony. Those in possession of 60 or more credits are entitled to buy an official UTSA class ring, which comes in a choice of ten, 14 or 18-carat white or yellow gold. The rings can be chosen in a contemporary signet or a traditional dome style, and can also be customised to incorporate extras like a graduation date or a diamond setting. An official Ring Presentation ceremony will take place on December 2nd attended by the students and university officials as well as family and friends. Decorated with the university's name and establishment date, the gold rings will prove keepsakes in times to come.
