Drilling to commence at Bonanza in Arizona

Friday, 23rd September 2005 (2712 views)

Terraco Gold has announced that it should be commencing phase I drilling on its Bonanza property in Las Pas, Arizona in early October.

Drilling will consist of known targets as well as anomalies identified from the results of IP and Resistivity survey data.

The IP survey explored an area outside of historic gold production where it tested the extent of disseminated and structurally-controlled sulphides.

Arizona counts mining of copper, molybdenum, gold, and silver along with tourism and manufacturing as its major industries.

Although the origin of the state's name is not known, it could derive from the Aztec Indian word, arizuma, meaning silver-bearing.

La Paz itself was founded in 1862 after the discovery of rich gold deposits.
