Young designer shinning gold pendantTuesday, 20th September 2005 (4250 views) Gold was the metal of choice for Wymondham High School pupil Giulia Lambert, who scooped the top prize in a Norwich jewellery competition.Jewellers Dipples, based in Norwich and Dereham in Norfolk, England, has presented 15-year-old Miss Lambert with the winning sunray pendant she designed in their jewellery design competition, reports the Norwich Evening News. The competition challenged pupils to design a pendant not exceeding three centimetres squared and using any coloured gold but not using precious stones. Miss Lambert's design, fashioned in the shape of a sun, consisted of a rose gold inner ring laced with fine white gold wire. Its outer ring was made of alternating bands of rose and white gold. Commenting on the sun pendant, which was produced by a design company in Birmingham, Chris Ellis from Dipples said: "Everyone who has seen it so far likes it. It's a really stunning piece."
