Padma Sutra collection

Friday, 16th September 2005 (4418 views)

Diamond company ORRA launched its Padma Sutra collection earlier this month.

It is the eighth collection in ORRA's spiritual line and focuses on the lotus, or padma.

The lotus is India's national flower and is considered sacred. It is entwined with many folklores and religious mythologies to symbolise divinity, fertility, wealth, knowledge and enlightenment.

Every piece in the Padma Sutra collection is set in 22-carat gold and depicts the flower along with gods and goddesses.

The collection was launched in front of the media at a dance show held at the Experimental Theatre in Mumbai and is now on sale throughout India.

ORRA is part of the world's largest diamond manufacturing company, Rosyblue, and was founded in 1888.
