Drilling begins in NevadaThursday, 21st July 2005 (3378 views) Keegan Resources has announced that core drilling has commenced at the Horse Mountain property in Nevada.Keegan has started drilling its deep hole testing the intersection of the altered and mineralised Rock Creek Fault with the projected lower plate carbonate host rocks as part of the joint project with Barrick Gold and Anaconda Gold. Keegan's primary focus is the United States and Canada and the company assesses, explores and acquires high quality precious and base metal projects. The firm also has active exploration programs in Nevada and Ghana and predicts an exciting year for its investors. Dan McCoy, president, and CEO of Keegan, said: "The start of drilling at Horse signals a very busy time for us on our properties. "Over the next few months we will be drill testing our three exciting Nevada gold projects on which our geological team has worked very hard during the last year to develop high quality drill targets to maximise the use of exploration capital."
