Successful Quebec gold developments reported

Friday, 15th July 2005 (2784 views)

Virginia Gold Mines has announced pleasing results of drilling on the Elenore property in Quebec.

The company revealed details of new developments concerning the exploration program currently in progress in the Opinaca reservoir region of James Bay.

Seven new holes were tested and yielded very good results at a vertical depth of some 600 metres.

The Roberto zone provided the main focus to reconnaissance work, with the mineralised areas providing some of the best ever results.

Work on the north extension was described as "very significant" and lengthens the known extension of the Roberto system by 100 metres.

New zones have also emerged in the periphery of the system, which indicates the promising potential of the Éléonore property.

Virginia Gold Mines is among the most active mining exploration companies in Quebec.
It concentrates its activities on its numerous properties spread over the relatively unexplored regions of northern Quebec.
