A recent survey carried out in the Baima region of China has identified a number of new locations for possible gold extraction.

Central China Goldfields (CCG) announced yesterday that the Bulk Leach Extractable Gold survey had been completed and has revealed that the largest responses are coming from known prospects Song Pang Guo and Shu Niu Jia.

The results highlight the effectiveness of the practised measures in the area, which can detect gold over a distance of six kilometres.

Manager Chris Ford has said that the company is "encouraged that these reconnaissance techniques are providing positive responses and are confident that their systematic application for the first time across the region will generate high priority targets to test".

Managing director Jeff Malaihollo suggests that as well as mapping newly discovered locations, CCG is now setting itself even greater targets and "aggressively exploring the prospective Snow Mountain Project".
