A top bullion house in Japan has unveiled the first of six 18 carat gold baths to furnish a group of hotels.<br/><br/>Created by Tanaka Kikinzoku, the bath is roughly 1.2 metres long and 65 centimetres deep, and was made using 50 kilograms of gold.<br/><br/>Worth 120 million yen (£600 million) each, the six tubs are to be installed at the Mikazuki group of hotels in the Chiba prefecture, near Tokyo.<br/><br/>A spokeswoman for the Mikazuki group told Reuters that the baths would be communal, as is customary in Japanese hot spring resorts.<br/><br/>"We will probably put it in a separate room, however, for security reasons," she stated.<br/><br/>Tanaka Kikinzoku produced its first gold bathtub in 1964. It offers a range of items rendered in gold, from toothpicks to Buddha statues, at its store in the Ginza shopping district of Tokyo.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=16040016"/>
